SF2 Edge Device
Run validated models at the edge
Powered by SF2 Engine RT, it executes condition models packaged in SF2 Suite RT directly at the data source—delivering continuous local inference and streaming calculated similarity values and triggers directly into your existing automation and control systems.
- Controller for DIN rail
- ARM & FPGA
- Listener-only
- Output to customer systems
Product Profile
Local edge hardware for mission-critical production
The SF2 Edge Device is built for a single, critical purpose: continuous 24/7 execution of validated condition models directly in the plant.
By decoupling offline model creation from live edge execution, you ensure that only approved, version-controlled models are deployed to production—maintaining strict traceability across your fleet.
- Local Edge Inference: Executes approved production packages using SF2 Engine RT.
- High-Throughput Streaming: Ingests sensor and gateway streams via passive listener mode for continuous processing.
- Native OT Handover: Transmits virtual condition channels and triggers directly to SCADA, PLC, and MES networks through open interfaces.
- 100% Air-Gapped Operation: Runs completely locally in isolated OT networks with zero cloud dependency.
- Centralized Runtime Management: Deploys, versions, and manages edge runtime instances seamlessly from SF2 Suite RT.
Functionality
Ingest data, evaluate locally, deliver
actionable results
-
01
Provide data — existing systems
Existing sensors, gateways, or controllers provide released data streams.
-
02
Evaluate conditions — SF2 Edge Device
SF2 Engine RT processes incoming data and calculates status representations, similarity values, as well as triggers.
-
03
Use results — existing systems
Automation, control, maintenance, or monitoring systems take over the output channels.
Passive stream listener operation: The SF2 Edge Device passively ingests provided sensor streams without interfering with data acquisition or replacing existing control logic.
Rollout path
Transition seamlessly from offline validation to
24/7 edge production
Companies can evaluate SF2 risk-free using the free SF2 Suite SE, verifying on their own historical sensor and process data whether the platform delivers measurable value. The SF2 Edge Device is deployed only after a condition model has been technically validated and approved for live production.

OT integration
SF2 complements the existing automation
The SF2 Edge Device can be integrated into existing Operational Technology (OT) environments. Existing sensors, gateways, and controllers provide the data. SF2 Engine RT evaluates the condition locally. Systems for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), maintenance, or monitoring take over the output similarity values and triggers. The existing control and safety logic remains separate from this.
SF2 does not necessarily capture the raw signals itself and does not replace programmable logic controllers or process control systems. The Edge Device executes the released condition model and provides condition information for downstream systems.
